Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority takes measures and exercises powers as may be necessary for improving governance, management, transparency, accountability and quality of public procurement. With the aim to monitor application of the laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures in respect of, or relating to the public procurement.

In collaboration with PPRA, their manual workings have been automated which facilitates them to monitor and control their procurement processes across the province.  
It majorly focuses on procurements including Tender Notices, Expression of Interest, Request of Proposals etc. Further, it gives visibility on the status of the evaluation reports submitted by the Government departments, any tenders’ violations, procurement cancellations, annual procurement plan submissions for each fiscal year. Moreover to ensure transparency, also the blacklisting of firms is maintained publically. In addition, the stakeholders are also facilitated by the available ‘online queries submission and response mechanism’. Moreover, Public Sector Manufacturing Units register with PPRA to ensure efficient processes.

  • Procurements: 86,064
  • Evaluation Reports: 8,812
  • Tenders’ violation evident: 9,001 (since October 2015)
  • Procurement cancellation: 1,016
  • Annual Procurement Plans: 720 (since 2013)
  • Blacklisting of Firms: 146
  • Online queries submission and response mechanism: 1051
