Mr. Muhammad Kashif Farooq serves as Additional Director General (IT) at PITB and has been associated with the organization in various capacities since 1999, contributing significantly to its evolution as a leading public-sector technology institution.
He has overseen digital initiatives across education technology, social welfare, e-Libraries, and the judicial sector, supporting improved access to services and strengthened institutional capacity. His work reflects a strong blend of technical leadership and research-informed governance.
Mr. Farooq previously undertook e-Governance research at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), where he published multiple papers in the ICT domain, before rejoining PITB in 2010. He continues to play a key role in advancing PITB’s technology-driven transformation agenda.
