Muhammad Haseeb Anwar serves as Additional Director General at the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), where he provides strategic and technical leadership for digital government, public-sector transformation, and technology-enabled governance initiatives.
With over 20 years of experience spanning the public and private sectors, Mr. Anwar brings expertise in digital government, information systems, development planning, monitoring, and Government Business Process Re-engineering (BPR). He began his professional career in 2005 as a software and IT professional in the private sector, gaining experience in software development, information systems, and technology solutions before transitioning to the public sector.
He subsequently served at the Planning & Development Board, Government of the Punjab, where he worked across IT, MIS, and development planning functions. He also served as Assistant Chief (Monitoring), overseeing the monitoring of the Annual Development Programme (ADP) and Development Budget of the Government of Punjab. His experience at the Planning & Development Board provided him with a strong understanding of government planning, development processes, monitoring frameworks, and public-sector workflows.
Mr. Anwar joined PITB in March 2022 as Project Director and has since contributed to several major digital government initiatives, including eFOAS (Electronic Filing & Office Automation System), eBiz Punjab, OneMap@Punjab, Smart Monitoring of Development Projects (SMDP), Apni Chhat Apna Ghar, and Asaan Karobaar Scheme. He has also contributed to federal digital initiatives, including iPAS (Intelligent Project Automation System) and the Pakistan Railways Planning Portal.
His areas of expertise include G2G and G2B digital service delivery, digital workflow automation, GIS and spatial intelligence, enterprise MIS, digital records and e-filing, inter-agency system integration, data-driven decision support, and government process re-engineering. He holds an MS in Computer Science and an MBA, combining technical, managerial, and public-sector planning expertise.
