World Bank Advisory Group Holds Meeting on e-Procurement Implementation Across Pakistan

World Bank Advisory Group held a meeting at PITB to discuss the ongoing implementation of PITB executed e-Procurement across Pakistan. Stakeholders' representatives including PITB, Asian Development Bank, and Public Procurement Regulatory Authorities (PPRAs) from Punjab, Federal, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), and Baluchistan attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by World Bank Manager Anna Wielogorska. Senior officials including MD Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) Waqar Azim and PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif were also present. 

Key agenda items included the establishment of a Grievance Redressal Mechanism for e-Procurement and professional and structured training programs for public procurement. Detailed discussions were also held on enhancing outreach to public procurement practitioners for capacity building and enhancing sustainable and green procurement policies.

This collaborative effort among stakeholders aims at driving innovation and efficiency in procurement processes, laying the foundation for transparent and accountable governance practices.
