A meeting was held between PITB, Punjab Agriculture Department and Bakhabar Kissan at their office in Islamabad. The meeting aimed at exploring possible areas of collaboration with Bakhabar Kissan to strengthen the Agriculture Extension services in Punjab.
CEO Bakhabr Kissan Khizer Khan gave a detailed presentation on the services offered by Bakhabar Kissan, encompassing advisory services, crop monitoring servers, weather data, and call center services. Consultant Government of the Punjab Agriculture Department Dr. Anjum Ali was also present.
PITB Joint Director Usman Waheed gave a detailed briefing on PITB implemented ICT initiatives for the Punjab Agriculture Department and discussed how it is benefitting both the stakeholders and the farmers across Punjab.
The meeting ended with an understanding to roll out joint ventures in the interest of the farming community. This potential collaborative effort aims to bolster farmer outreach by ensuring the efficient delivery of agricultural services and inputs.
