Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training held an online meeting on 'National Open Data Portal' initiative. The meeting comprised stakeholder representatives from PITB, Pakistan Institute of Education (PIE) and National Information Technology Board (NITB). PITB DG IT-Solutions Waqar Naeem Qureshi along with Director Rana Abid Mehmood and JD Sajjad Qureshi attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the progress of the 'National Open Data Portal' initiative was discussed. This initiative aims to standardize and integrate the education data across Pakistan in order to meet the international education standards.
As part of this initiative, all the provinces would integrate their data systems with the Federal National Education Management Information System (NEMIS) to ensure consistent and accurate data across 71 key indicators.
PITB would play an integral role in this regard by extending its technical assistance and resources to ensure smooth implementation and enhance the education data infrastructure in Pakistan.
