June 05, 2024

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has officially launched 'Maryam Ke Dastak,' a flagship initiative of the Government of Punjab. She was accompanied by Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and Minister Information and Culture Punjab Azma Bokhari.

Senior officials including Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Chairman PITB Faisal Yousaf and IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar were also present.

The initiative "Maryam Ke Dastak" aims at facilitating the citizens across Punjab by bringing service delivery to their doorsteps. The end-to-end service delivery model hinges on specially trained 'Facilitators' who will help the citizens from application filling to fee payment to application submission to final delivery of documents. The initiative will particularly facilitate the senior citizens, people with disabilities and women.

Citizens will be able to choose from a suite of services and book an appointment with the Facilitator at their preferred time, date, and location through the Dastak Mobile App, Web Portal, or by calling the helpline 1202.

Additionally, PITB developed 'Dastak Facilitators Mobile App' has also been launched as part of 'Maryam Ke Dastak' initiative to streamline the selection of 'Facilitators' by allowing potential candidates to apply for the role. Facilitators will be selected after thorough screening and will be trained by PITB. Only those candidates who score at least 70% in the screening process will be considered for registration as facilitators.

The services will commence in Lahore as a pilot. After the pilot phase, the service will be expanded to all the districts of Punjab.
