Punjab Agriculture Minister Syed Muhammad Ashiq Hussain Kirmani has launched PITB developed Digital Farmer Registration Process of Punjab Kissan Card at Agriculture House in Lahore.
Senior officials from PITB, Punjab Agriculture Department, Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA), Pakistan MNP Database, Bank of Punjab (BOP) and National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) were present.
During the ceremony, Punjab Agriculture Minister Syed Muhammad Ashiq Hussain Kirmani highlighted the Punjab government's dedication to automate agriculture department for enhanced service delivery. Agriculture Secretary Iftekhar Ali Sahu was also present.
Chief Technical Advisor Hafiz Abdur Rehman gave a detailed presentation on the Kissan Card initiative and appreciated for its tireless efforts and support.
The said initiative aims to empower the farmers through interest-free loans. To date, over 30,000 applications have already been received.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates among the representatives of the stakeholder departments including PITB, PITB, Agriculture Department, PLRA, NADRA & BOP.
