PITB, in collaboration with the Centre for Public Policy and Governance (CPPG) Forman Christian College, University, Lahore (FCCU) conducted a focus group session titled, “A Dialogue on Technology and Policy”. The session aimed at fostering a collaborative discussion on the interplay between technological advancements and policy development.
CPPG Founding Director Professor Dr. Saeed Shafqat along with his team of professors shared valuable insights on the current challenges in the integration of technology and policy. He underscored the importance of stakeholder collaboration in shaping effective policy frameworks.
Planning & Development Department representative, Chief Governance Hafiz Muhammad Naseer also participated in the session along with representatives from Law & Parliamentary Affairs Department including Assistant Director Usman Ramzan and Deputy Solicitor Muhammad Shoaib Janjua.
The session was chaired by PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif and DG IT Solutions Waqar Naeem Qureshi. PITB Additional Director Generals (ADGs) Qasim Ifzal, Khurram Mushtaq and Omar Salman were also present. PITB senior management emphasized the importance of technology and how it is transforming governance in Punjab.
