PITB celebrated the International Women In Engineering (WIE) Day 2024 by organizing ‘Engaging More Women in AI and 4IR Technologies’ event today at the Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP).
The event was held in collaboration with Information Technology University (ITU) and Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) WIE Lahore Section Affinity Group and emphasized on the role of women in the fields of science and technology in Pakistan.
The keynote speakers were PITB’s Chief Finance Officer Nadia Riaz, Director IT-Operations Nausheen Fayyaz, Joint Director HR Operations Khadija Zahoor and Senior Program Manager Asiya Zahoor along with ITU’s Dr. Abiha Zahra.
The event managed by PITB HR wing featured a panel discussion titled ‘Breaking Barriers and Building Bridges: Cultivating Supportive Environments for Women Leaders in this era of AI & 4IR’ moderated by Hadia Sajjad of ITU. This was followed by an interactive confidence-building & stress management workshop that focused on sharing practical strategies to enhance professional growth. The training was conducted by PITB GIS Expert Spatial Data Scientist Maria Zubair and it concluded with a Q&A session.
