A delegation from Sindh comprising PMS Probationers visited PITB to get acquainted with the ICT interventions rolled out by the Punjab government. The visit was presided by Additional Chief Secretary Sindh Saeed Ahmed Awan and was accompanied by DG Muhammad Issa Memon, Chief Instructor Aftab Ahmed Memon, Chief Instructor Assadullah Abro, Director Nousheen Usman and Deputy Director Abdul Khalil Shaikh.
During the visit, DG IT-Solutions Waqar Naeem Qureshi gave a detailed briefing on PITB implemented IT interventions aiming to enhance public service delivery, process automation, e-governance, and data-governance. He also discussed IT initiatives such as e-Stamping and e-Services replicated by other provinces.
Additionally, ADG Syed Qasim Ifzal from IT-Operations wing briefed them on the integrated Criminal Justice System and the future of interventions whereas Director Ali Raza Kheri gave an insight on the benefits of Hospital Management Information System (HMIS). ADG Hammad Hasan Hamdani, Directors Rana Abid Mahmood and Haider Ali and Joint Director Sajjad Qureshi were also present during the session.
The delegation also visited e-Khidmat Markaz where Senior Manager Haider Ali briefed them on the wide range of services being offered under one roof and how it has ensured transparency as well as enhanced citizen centric services across Punjab.
The visit was conducted as part of the National Study Tour (NST) of Lahore and Faisalabad, which is one of the courses of the 7th Civil Services Training Program (CSTP) organized by the Training Management & Research Wing, Services, General Administration & Coordination Department (SGA&CD).
