PITB and Punjab Irrigation Department have signed a contract to roll out Crop-Based Water Rate Assessment System.
The contract was signed by PITB ADG Khurram Mushtaq along with JD Usman Waheed and by Superintendent Engineer Depalpur Canal Circle Sarfraz Khalid along with XEN Lahore Sohaib Khan from the Punjab Irrigation Department.
According to this contract, PITB will digitize the irrigators' data based on cultivated crops and integrate it with PITB developed e-Pay Punjab. This new system will enhance the Abiana collection by calculating water rates based on the types of crops.
