PITB hosted an engaging event for a delegation from the Criminal Justice sectors of KPK and Islamabad, including Legal Professionals, Policymakers, and Technology Experts. Representatives from the Islamabad High Court, Peshawar High Court, and Code Pakistan were also part of the delegation.
PITB Director Jamal Ahmad led the session, showcasing various initiatives undertaken by PITB in the criminal justice sector. PITB ADG Syed Qasim Ifzal highlighted the significant advancements PITB has made in transforming the Criminal Justice System. He emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination between Police, Courts, and other stakeholders through IT integration.
The session focused on key tech-driven innovations including Case Flow Management System (Prosecution), Case Management System (Judiciary), Police PSRMS and Prisons Management Information System (PMIS).
During the event, Session Court Judge Kamran Baharat Mufti expressed a strong interest in PITB’s systems, particularly their applications in the Criminal Justice Sector. He underscored the potential of technology to enhance judicial processes, improve case management, and lead to more efficient legal outcomes. He also highlighted that collaboration between the judiciary and technology innovators is a promising step toward modernizing legal infrastructure.
