Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) delegation, comprising Deputy General Manager External Relations Directorate (ERD) Shehryar Tahir, visited PITB established e-Khidmat Markaz to discuss the digitization of the Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
PITB DG Government Digital Services (GDS) Muhammad Waseem Bhatti gave a detailed briefing on the IT interventions rolled out across Punjab and those replicated by other provinces. He particularly emphasized on PITB’s role in successfully implementing ‘e-Filing & Office Automation System (e-FOAS),’ ‘Human Resource Information System’ and ‘Smart Monitoring of Development Projects (SMDP)’ and discussed how they have assisted various government departments in bringing about paperless work culture.
The SMEDA delegation was also given a tour of the e-Khidmat Markaz during which they were given an overview on the range of services offered at the center.
The SMEDA delegation appreciated PITB’s support regarding the automation of the SMEs and discussed the way forward.
