A delegation from the Punjab Police Investigation and Public Prosecution Team visited PITB to discuss different strategies for enhancing the current communication mechanism through IT systems. The delegation comprised AIG Legal & Monitoring-Punjab Police Khalid Mahmood Afzal, DPP-Public Prosecution Department Muhammad Altaf and DPP Lahore-Public Prosecution Department Imtiaz Cheema.
PITB ADG Syed Qasim Ifzal highlighted the importance of a seamless integration between Police, Prosecution, Courts, Prisons and other stakeholders. He also emphasized the need for user-centric solutions to optimize the system. PITB ADG Omer Salman from the Software Engineering wing and other team members including Senior Program Managers Salman Ali Khan and Qasim Tufail were also present.
The delegation acknowledged PITB's pivotal role in transforming the criminal justice system and discussed the way forward.
