AJ&K Police Launches PITB-Developed Crime Mapping System

The Azad Jammu & Kashmir Police has soft-launched PITB developed Crime Mapping System under the Crime Analytics and Smart Policing Pakistan Project. The ceremony was presided by SSP Muzaffarabad Kamran Ali. Senior Police officials including SSPs from AJ&K’s 10 districts also attended the event online.

PITB representatives from the IT-Operations Wing, including PITB Joint Director (JD) Rai Rashid, Senior Software Engineer Mamoon Sharif, Program Manager Technical Abdul Waheed and team members from the Software Engineering Wing, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Crime Mapping System.

PITB Joint Director Rai Rashid gave a detailed insight into the system’s features and discussed how it is benefitting the stakeholders in capturing crime footprints and enabling effective policing across the province.

On behalf of the IG AJ&K Police, SSP Muzaffarabad presented shields to all the PITB team members and lauded PITB for extending its support aiming to combat crime and improve the law and order through ICT initiatives.
