PITB held an online progress review meeting to assess e-Stamping system implemented for the Sindh government. The meeting was presided by PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif and was attended by Secretary Information, Science & Technology Sindh Noor Ahmed Sammo, Member IT Information, Science & Technology Sindh Dr. Shahzeb Malik and Member Stamps & Evacuee Property RS&EP Board of Revenue Sindh Abbas Naich. PITB’s Additional Director General Hammad Hasan Hamdani and Director e-Stamping Haider Ali were also present.
e-Stamping aims at digitizing the issuance of stamp papers to eliminate paper and process related fraudulent practices, leakage of government revenue while storing information in digital form to ensure transparency.
The initiative has been executed in as part of an agreement among PITB, Provincial Governments, Board of Revenue (BOR) of the respective provinces, National Bank of Pakistan, State Bank of Pakistan and World Bank.
