A delegation of Tech Companies from South Punjab visited PITB to get familiarized with the ICT interventions rolled out by the Punjab Government. PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif discussed the groundbreaking projects executed by PITB in the domains of e-governance and automation, citizen centric services, supporting businesses and youth empowerment. He emphasized on the Global IT Certifications initiative that aims to empower Punjab’s tech industry by providing support in upskilling the workforce of software companies.
The delegation also visited e-Khidmat Center and Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMA) to gain insights on how PITB is digitalizing the government processes. PITB senior officials including Director Skills Development Wing Ahmad Islam Syan were also present.
The overall objective was to learn about Punjab’s tech policies and digital initiatives, explore how PITB is fostering innovation and gain insight into government backed programs. Furthermore, the visit aimed to create networking opportunities with key industry’s stakeholders shaping the tech ecosystem of Pakistan.
