PITB organized a hands-on workshop on Self-Service (Business Intelligence) BI as part of the Online Statistical System of Punjab (OSSP), a flagship initiative of the Punjab Government and is being executed by PITB.
PITB Additional Project Director Syed Hammad Hassan gave a comprehensive overview of the strengths of Self-Service BI platform that aims to empower departments to independently generate online reports using authorized datasets and create customized dashboards.
Self-Service BI is based on DataHub, which is a central data management/sharing platform creating single data versioning to ensure reliability, security, accuracy and consistency across all the stakeholder departments.
Senior Officials from PITB as well as the Bureau of Statistics (BoS), Punjab Price Control & Commodities Management (PCCMD), Board of Revenue (BoR), Excise Taxation & Narcotics Control (ET&NC) and Industries, Commerce, Investment & Skills Development (ICI&SD) departments of Punjab were among the key participants.
