April 11, 2025

PITB, in collaboration with the District Judiciary of Punjab, has successfully integrated Case Management System (CMS) with the Police Station Record Management System (PSRMS), Prosecution’s Case Flow Management System (CFMS), and Prison Management Information System (PMIS) to enhance efficiency, coordination and transparency in the criminal justice process of the said department.

Hon'ble Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Aalia Neelum, Chairman PITB Faisal Yousaf, ADG PITB Syed Qasim Ifzal and PITB Director Project Management) Jamal Ahmad and senior officials from Police, Prisons and Prosecution department were also present at the occasion.

This integration enables real-time data exchange, allowing courts to swiftly access FIRs, investigation statuses, prosecution reports and prisoner records, ensuring faster case processing and better-informed judicial decisions. The system is being launched in Lahore and Rahim Yar Khan districts as pilot, marking a major step toward modernizing judicial operations. This landmark initiative enables the Judiciary to track delayed challans, oversee prosecution performance and access real-time data on under-trial prisoners, including detention period and demographics.

The Courts have now automated access to case-related information, reducing dependency on manual record retrieval and minimizing procedural delays. By leveraging technology, the Judiciary is set to expedite trials, enhance case resolution times and ensure a more transparent and accountable justice system across Punjab.

This initiative has been overseen by PITB Director Project Management) Jamal Ahmad as the Additional Registrar IT-LHC on deputation. The Hon'ble Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Aalia Neelum lauded PITB for completing this significant milestone in a very short time duration.
