A distinguished delegation of Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives from the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states visited PITB as part of their official tour to Lahore. The delegation was led by honourable Secretary General of ECO H.E. Dr. Asad Majeed Khan and Punjab Secretary Tourism Farid Ahmad Tarar.
During the visit, Director General IT- Solutions Waqar Naeem Qureshi gave a detailed presentation on key PITB ICT interventions, showcasing PITB's contributions to the automation and digitalization advancements in Punjab. He highlighted flagship initiatives such as 'e-Pay Punjab,' 'Maryam Ke Dastak’ 'e-Khidmat Maraakaz’, 'e-FOAS (Electronic File Office Automation System)' as well as ‘Punjab Data Governance Initiative.’
The visit served as an opportunity for knowledge sharing between PITB and the ECO member states in the field of information technology. PITB senior officials including Directors Rana Abid Mahmood, Ali Zeb and Ahmad Islam Syan were also present.
