A high-level delegation comprising representatives from UNICEF and senior government officials from the School Education & Literacy Department, Sindh, visited PITB to explore key ICT interventions driving digital transformation in Punjab—particularly within the education sector.
The delegation was welcomed by PITB DG IT Solutions Waqar Naeem Qureshi, Directors Shahid Akram Khan & Rana Abid Mehmood, and Joint Director Sajjad Qureshi. The visiting delegation was provided detailed briefings on PITB’s technology-driven initiatives across various government departments.
DG Waqar Naeem Qureshi opened the session with an overview of PITB’s pivotal role in enabling digital governance through scalable ICT solutions. Director Shahid Akram Khan showcased the Training Management System (TMS) and Financial Reporting System (FRS)—highlighting their impact in streamlining training operations and enhancing financial transparency within public sector departments.
Director Rana Abid Mehmood introduced the centralized data analytics dashboard, a powerful tool enabling data-driven decision-making and policy formulation. He also elaborated on the use of AI-powered analytics to enhance governance outcomes. Joint Director Sajjad Qureshi presented key IT initiatives implemented within Punjab’s education sector to improve administrative efficiency and service delivery.
The visiting delegation commended PITB’s contributions toward the digital transformation of public sector services, praising its scalable and replicable models that are reshaping governance not only in Punjab but also offering inspiration to other provinces.
