A delegation from National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) Lahore visited PITB as part of the ‘44th Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC)’ to get acquainted with the ICT interventions rolled out by the Government of Punjab. The session was one of the various training modules designed for capacity building of the attendees and focused on the ‘ICT Interventions for Effective Service Delivery.’
PITB DG IT-Solutions Waqar Naeem Qureshi gave an overview of the digital transformation initiatives in Punjab. Overall, the session included deep-dives into key ICT interventions including insights on (i) Law &Order by PITB ADG Syed Qasim Afzal who gave a comprehensive presentation on workflow automation and use of AI in this critical sector, (ii) Data Center & Cybersecurity by PITB CISO Sajjad Ghani, (iii) e-Stamping by PITB Director Haider Ali who shared how the digitization of the stamp paper workflow has benefitted various government departments across Punjab and in other provinces and (iv) e-Procurement by JD M Ashfaq Tiwana.
The delegation also visited e-Khidmat Markaz and appreciated PITB’s role in the digital transformation journey of Punjab.
