Advancing Punjab’s Justice System through Digital Innovation

August 15, 2025

PITB, in collaboration with the Punjab Prosecution Department and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), with funding from the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), successfully conducted a three-day training on the upgraded Case Flow Management System (CFMS) from 5–7 August 2025 in Murree.

Enhanced by PITB, the upgraded CFMS now features real-time case alerts, line-of-inquiry tracking, advanced dashboards, and analytical tools to support evidence-based decision-making.

As part of the Training of Trainers programme led by UNODC, PITB PM Mehreen Pervaiz and Software Engineer Aqeel Everest provided a comprehensive demonstration of the system’s new capabilities to prosecutors. The session was attended by Additional Secretary Prosecution Abdul Rauf and Director Appeal Asmat Ullah Hunjra.

The training emphasised the use of data analysis as a foundation for informed prosecution strategies and institutional accountability. The trained prosecutors will now serve as institutional resource persons, delivering specialised trainings - ensuring long-term sustainability and accelerating the digital transformation of Punjab’s justice sector.
