PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif held a meeting with Markaz Platform CEO & Co-Founder Shoaib Khan to discuss the possible collaboration of developing the upcoming online portal of ‘Punjab e-Commerce Initiative’ by the Government of Punjab. He was accompanied by Markaz Platform Co-founders Sameel Hayat, Fawad Hussain and Umair Aslam.
PITB senior officials CTO Adil Iqbal Khan, Director Development & Procurement Ata ur Rehman, Director Skill Development Ahmad Islam Syan and Director Entrepreneurship Hammad Khalique were also present.
In a first, ‘Punjab e-Commerce’ initiative aims to upgrade a ‘Sanatzar Centers’ in four main cities including Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad and Sialkot.
The key focus of the meeting was to discuss the scope of e-Commerce Platform and execution plan to engage local businesses for registration as well as obtain order from national and international buyers.
