PITB and the Energy Department Punjab have signed a contract to automate the department's business regulations under the ADP scheme titled ‘Automation of Business Regulations Pertaining to the Office of CE (Power) & Issuance of e-Test Reports.’
The contract ceremony was presided by PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif and was signed by PITB Director Development & Procurement Ata ur Rehman and Energy Department Punjab Director Technical Zafar Abbas on behalf of their respective organizations.
PITB Joint Director Ishfaq Jutt and Manager QA & Training Umar Javed along with Energy Department Punjab’s Chief Engineer Muhammad Yaseen, Director Technical 2 Iqbal Tahir and Deputy Director Technical Azeem Sajid were present.
According to the contract, this intervention aims to automate the availability of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the business community as well as that of the e-Test Reports and Periodic Inspection Reports.
Overall, this initiative marks a significant step towards the automation of the Energy Department's business regulations with PITB acting as the technical partner, responsible for the system development and management. PITB will also implement the system across all electricity Distribution Companies (DISCOs) in Punjab.
