PITB conducted a week-long online training session on the ‘Labour Inspection Management System (LIMS-II)’ developed for Labour and Human Resource Department. The participants included the field officials from across Punjab.
The primary goal of the training was to acquaint the attendees with the IT interventions that support thematic inspections like Occupational Safety Hazards, Accident Reporting, Minimum Wage Inspection, Child Labour Inspection and registrations of shops, factories and trade unions.
PITB representatives from IT-Operation wing, Senior Program Manager Rabia Tariq and Program Officer Ammar Tahir, delivered the training. The session concluded with an engaging discussion emphasizing PITB’s efforts to improve the management of labour inspections carried out by the labour inspectors to ensure compliance in every respect including workplace conditions.
