The e-Billing System, developed by PITB in collaboration with the Bank of Punjab (BOP) on direction of Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz, was inaugurated by LG&CD Minister Zeeshan Rafiq and Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman at the LG&CD Civil Secretariat in Lahore.
Citizens can now conveniently pay municipal bills, building plan fees, shop rents, water charges, and other dues for 229 local governments—all from the comfort of their home through mobile banking and digital wallets. This initiative ensures transparent, fast, and hassle-free payments, eliminating the need for office visits and long queues, marking a significant step towards a modern, citizen-centric Punjab.
The ceremony was also attended by Local Government Secretary Shakeel Ahmed Mian, Suthra Punjab Authority DG Babar Sahib Din, and senior officials from the Bank of Punjab and PITB. During the event, the Minister and Chief Secretary presented honorary shields to the teams of BOP and PITB in recognition of their dedication and successful completion of this transformative project.
