A delegation of Punjab Probation and Parole Service (PPPS), an attached department of the Home Department, visited PITB as part of a six-week Induction Training Program for the newly inducted Probation and Parole Officers (BS-17). The visit aimed at equipping the officers with practical exposure and acquaint them with ICT interventions particularly related to Criminal Justice System and allied governance frameworks.
PITB ADG Syed Qasim Ifzal along with Director Rana Abid Mehmood gave presentations on the tech-driven initiatives implemented across Punjab and those replicated by the other provinces. Initiatives in the fields of e-Governance and Automation as well as Citizen Centric Services were also highlighted.
The delegation also visited the Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMA), the state-of-the-art Control Room in Afra Software Technology Park (ASTP) and e-Khidmat Markaz. PITB ADG Admin Air Cdre. (Retired) Itazaz Hussain Warraich along with PITB Director Haroon Rasul Khokhar gave them a detailed briefing on their functionalities and the scope of the services offered at e-Khidmat.
