A delegation from Haji Nawaz Trust IT Institute Narowal visited PITB to get acquainted with youth oriented initiatives by the Punjab Government. ADG Admin Zulfiqar Ali Shaheen gave an overview of ICT initiatives rolled out by PITB in Punjab and those replicated by other provinces. Director Admin Haroon Rasul Khokhar was also present.
PITB Director Skills Development Ahmad Islam Syan briefed the participants on the key initiatives aiming to foster entrepreneurial and digital skills while helping in empowering the youth economically. Among these were ‘iamthecode,’ ‘Global IT Certifications,’ ‘CMITIP (Chief Minister IT Internship Program)’ and ‘Maryam Ke Dastak.’ A representative from IT University (ITU) gave an overview on the scope of AI.
On behalf of Chairman PITB, ADG Admin Zulfiqar Ali Shaheen also presented a souvenir to the delegation. The activity concluded with a visit to different youth training centers in the premises of Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP).
