The Punjab Government has provided relief to Electric Vehicle (EV) owners by further enhancing the discount on the annual Motor Vehicle Tax (MVT). The discount is now increased from 95% to 99%, significantly reducing the payable annual tax. Hence, the EV owners are required to pay only 1% Annual Token Tax, making electric vehicles a smarter, more affordable and environmentally friendly choice.
This initiative aims to promote green mobility and encourage citizens to embrace clean transportation while providing substantial financial savings.
