Smart Food Licensing System developed by Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) in collaboration with Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has in its first 30 days facilitated recovery of more than PKR 12 million in food license fees. Over 4000 large and small-scale food business owners (including manufacturers) have been brought into the new smart licensing regime for better regulation and implementation of food safety standards.
