‘MakerSpace’ Collaborative Meetings Held with Education Institutes

PITB held a series of meetings with prestigious education institutes Beaconhouse National University (BNU), COMSATS Islamabad and Information Technology University (ITU) to explore opportunities for academic collaboration under the Chief Minister Punjab’s initiative ‘MakerSpace Punjab.’
The discussions focused on engaging students, researchers and faculty for hands-on prototyping, technical workshops, mentorship and research so to turn innovative ideas into tangible products.
‘MakerSpace Punjab’ is the Government of Punjab's first government-backed makerspace being established at Arfa Karim Tower Lahore. Equipped with specialized labs for PCB, IoT, 3D Printing, CNC, Robotics, AR/VR and Usability, the facility will provide advanced resources for product design, prototyping, testing and validation.
Through strong academia-industry linkages, ‘MakerSpace Punjab’ aims to foster a culture of innovation, support hardware development and empower the next generation of technology innovators.
