Delegation from Somalia visits Punjab IT Board

A delegation from Somalia, as part of The Resident Representative United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), visited Punjab IT Board for a peer learning activity. The delegation was presided by National Identification & Registration Authority (NIRA) Director General (DG) Abdiwali Ali Abdulle and was accompanied by UNDP Somalia Chief Technical Specialist Amjad Bhatti along with other officials. 
On behalf of Chairman PITB Faisal Yousaf, DG IT-Solutions Waqar Naeem Qureshi gave a detailed briefing on the key PITB IT initiatives. Special emphasis was particularly given to the digitization projects, programs and innovative solutions implemented for efficient public service delivery. This was followed by a video display on ICT interventions by the Government of the Punjab.
DG e-Governance Sajid Latif, DG IT Syed Qasim Ifzal, ADGs Haseeb Chaudhry and Zulfiqar Ali Shaheen, CTO Adil Iqal Khan, Director Entrepreneurship wing Hammad Bin Abdul Khalique and Deputy Director Admin Liaquat Ali Khattak were also present. 
The visit provided the delegation with an opportunity to witness key digital transformation and e-Governance initiatives of PITB for efficient public service delivery across the Punjab and beyond. The two parties exchanged souvenirs and discussed the way forward.
