Plan International – Pakistan held an exclusive workshop for digitalizing Birth Registration in Pakistan (DBR) in which a team from PITB was invited as special attendees. The workshop presented a feasibility study with the support of National Steering and coordination Committee on CRVS at the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms. The study stated that the use of mobile devices to notify the civil registration system of newborns within an area by lady health workers and electronically notifying school students' attendance is an effective mean for officials at union council to validate these notifications without manually entering and collecting data.
