A total of 51 cases have been processed through PITB developed online portal for E-Procurement generating an amount of Rs. 4,230,125 for four quarters of the fiscal year 2015-16.
E-Procurement allows vendors to file only one genuine quotation against each procurement opportunity using GST and National Tax Number that ensures accountability and transparency of the bidders/vendors. It saves government’s money allocated for petty purchases and ensures standardization in purchase prices across all departments of the government.
