In a meeting held at the Central Police Office (CPO), Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mushtaq Sukhera said that the up-gradation of all ongoing IT projects would be completed by January next. He said that some 715 police stations of the province would be upgraded and FIRs and reports would be registered online from January 2017.
Chairman PITB, Dr Umar Saif welcomed police chief`s efforts to start IT projects including human resource management system, criminal record management, bio-metric attendance system, homicide units and 8787 public complaint centers adding that 207 out of 709 police stations have reception desks and 440 have computerized FIR system.
DIG IT, Shahid Hanif and Punjab DIG Operations, Aamir Zulfiqar were also present.
