PITB Extending IT Assistance to Nigeria

National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON)comprising Ashiru Sani Daura (Director, ICT), Ejibunu Nurudeen (System Analyst) and Nasiru Abdullah Maccido (Director Planning Research & Statistics at Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board) visited Office of Pilgrim Affairs of Pakistan (OPAP), Makkah, KSA to study the IT-based services and initiatives taken by Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) in collaboration with PITB to successfully run Hajj operations 2016.
PITB team (deputed in KSA to run the IT-based operation for Hajj 2016) and Hakim Khattak (Assistant Director IT, MoRA IT wing) welcomed the delegates from NAHCON.
Hakim Khattak briefed about the Hajj policy and overall process & operations to serve the pilgrims from Pakistan for Hajj 2016. Saima Shaikh (Director Training & Development, PITB) elaborated the IT-based services and demonstrated the Hajj management systems developed by PITB in detail.
NAHCON team acknowledged the efforts of PITB and MoRA to technologically empower Hajj operations through IT and wished to replicate it for NAHCON to facilitate Nigerian pilgrims. The meeting concluded with a reciprocal vote of thanks
