During an exclusive visit to PITB, CM Gilgit Baltistan Hafeezur Rehman visited Chairman PITB to discuss collaboration regarding e-governance initiatives in the province. CM Gilgit Baltistan was acquainted with ICT interventions in the fields of education, health, law and order, and citizen facilitation services. Expressing interest in setting up IT infrastructure in the province with the help of PITB, he appreciated Dr Umar Saif for his dedication towards building a progressive nation. Dr Umar Saif presented CM Gilgit Baltistan with souvenir of gratitude and assured him of PITB’s support. The meeting was followed by media conference in which he thanked PITB and government of the Punjab for extending support towards Gilgit Baltistan. Among the eminent attendees were DG IT Operations Faisal Yousaf, DG IT Rizwan Rashid, DG e-Governance Sajid Latif, DG IT Solutions Waqar Naeem Qureshi, Director Citizen Facilitation Services Muhammad Waseem Bhatti and Director Software Engineering Adil Iqbal Khan.
