CM Punjab Shehbaz Sharif Visits Information Technology University

CM Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif visited ITU today. Vice Chancellor ITU & Chairman PITB, Dr Umar Saif welcomed the worthy CM and introduced him to the standard of education, top notch faculty members and educational facilities and prospects ITU offers. Dr Saif expressed his desire to build ITU into a world class research university, which was delightfully appreciated by the CM. Dr Saif said that trough ITU, their goal is to produce people to manage technology in policy and decisions.
CM Punjab said Dr Umar Saif is our outstanding asset who has dedicatedly nurtured ITU. Dr Umar Saif gave a quick preview of the funds raised for ITU besides govt grants and introduced various tech derivatives designed by ITU students and faculty members.
CM Punjab appreciated Dr Umar Saif in his accomplishments as ITU's spearhead. He visited stalls showcasing robotics designed by ITU students & faculty.
Dr Umar Saif addressed ITU students and talked about his experiences with CM Punjab. ITU is more of CM Shehbaz Sharif's intent & passion than mine, he added. He also told that out of 150 students, 50 have chosen ITU over LUMS, NUST & FAST.
CM Punjab said, "Our progress lies in innovation and research, so I'm pleased to see that happen at ITU; I congratulate Dr Umar Saif, the faculty & students on steering the ship of ITU."
CM Punjab announced Rs 50 crore endowment fund for ITU following which he distributed laptops among the high achievers of ITU.
Dr Umar Saif presented a souvenir to CM Punjab as a token of gratitude.
