Smart Lab and Multimedia Classrooms were inaugurated by the Minister of Education Punjab, Rana Mashood, today. While visiting the multimedia classrooms and smart lab, he said that the introduction of digital content has discouraged the culture of rote-learning (ratta).
In these modernized classrooms trained teachers will use digital content having videos, animations, simulations and assessments to facilitate self-learning. Secretary Schools, Abdul Jabbar Shaheen, said this initiative was a part of pilot implementation of eLearn.Punjab . A lab of 50 tablets is being established for the designated school where students would be able to access the digital content. Moreover, monthly tests of students will also be conducted at the lab and the dashboards will display results online and in real time. Around 600+ students will be benefit from this project whereas parents wholeheartedly welcomed the initiative. Rana Mashood also inaugurated Kids lab for nursery group students.
