British Ambassador to Egypt John Casson met Chairman PITB, Dr Umar Saif

Dr. Saif gave a presentation on the working of the IT-based systems in the education sector and highlighted initiatives like e-Learn Punjab, Open Data of Smart School Monitoring and Literacy Drive that have viably affected the standard of education and facilities provided at public schools.
John Casson said that Punjab’s IT-based education reforms could be a great model for system-wide changes in Egypt’s schools and showed interest in both, the technical methodology of system-wide reform in Punjab and the political reformation.
Naeem Qureshi (DG, IT Solutions – PITB), Muhammad Kashif Farooq (JD, IT), Adil Iqbal Khan (JD, Development & Infrastructure – PITB) and Adnan Khan were also present at the meeting.
