Punjab government plans to disburse Rs. 10 billion among 2.5 million families. In this regard PITB has developed ‘Insaf Imdad’ that allows the citizens across Punjab to file assistance requests from the comfort of their homes instead of physically visiting any government office. Citizen response to ‘Insaf Imdad’ app has been phenomenal as downloads have crossed 2.8 million ever since the launch. The large number of downloads is a testament to the confidence of people in the technology-driven initiatives of Punjab Government. PITB has so far received more than 15 million requests for financial assistance.
