Government of Sindh has applauded PITB for the successful implementation of ICT-based system for Neonatal Congenital Hyperthyroidism screening among the new born babies across Sindh. Appreciation certificates received from NICH - National Institute Of Child Health, Government of Sindh were distributed among the team members including Tariq Mehmood (Assistant Program Officer), Amir Fayyaz (Programme Manager), Hassan Khan Rao (Programme Manager & Project Lead), Malik Abid (Senior Programme Manager), and Nausheen Fayyaz (Joint Director). This initiative supports National Institute of Child Health, Karachi to take necessary measures for early diagnostic and cure of thyroid disease among the new born babies across 29 districts of Sindh. As of now, more than 32,000 babies have been registered in the system with a recovery rate of 100%.
