For the upcoming Wheat Procurement Drive 2021, a 7-day training session has commenced today at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore. District Food Controllers from across Punjab and staff members of Provincial Reserve Center will be given a hands-on training on PITB developed Bardana Wheat Procurement System & Flour Ledger Management Information System.
Launched last year, the system has enabled the Punjab Government and the Food Department to document the procurement drive while ensure transparency in the management supply chain of wheat and flour.
The training is being given by PITB IT-Operations team member Program Officer Afnan Javed.
