Minister Labour & Culture Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Shaukat Ali Yousafzai launched PITB developed PESSI Benefits App and Web Portal in a ceremony held at Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (PESSI) Gulberg Directorate. A live demo of the system was given by PITB Project Director Hasan Khalid at the event.
PESSI and PITB's collaboration on the Benefits App and Portal are directed toward easing the processing of cash benefits for PESSI secured workers. Punjab Secretary Labour & Human Resource (HR) Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi, Secretary Labour KPK Akbar Khan, Commissioner PESSI Ambreen Sajid, and other officials were also present at the occasion.
The officials from both provinces appreciated the efforts of PESSI and PITB regarding the use of ICT interventions for the welfare of the workers.
