A meeting was held at the head office of the Punjab Probation and Parole Service (PPPS) under the Chairmanship of Director General PPPS Afzal Ahmad on Offenders Management Information System (OMIS).
A major step towards the first ever unified criminal justice system of Pakistan, this system will help the department in bridging the gap between the Police, Prison and Judiciary departments while pacing up the processes related to the dispensing of Probation and Parole. It will also improve public service delivery by digitizing the records.
During the meeting, PITB Senior Program Manger Muhammad Ali and Program Manager Rai Rashid gave a detailed presentation on the deployment plan of OMIS.
