Orientation Session for e-Tendering System of LGCD

The Local Government & Community Development (LG&CD) Department has launched e-Tendering System as a part of PITB executed project ‘IT Based Monitoring System for Improved Service Delivery in the Entire Local Government of the Punjab.’
The online portal aims at providing an equal opportunity to the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registered contractors across Punjab to sign-up, participate and submit their bids online according to their category. The integrity of the important and confidential data in the software is protected through high level encryption. In this regard, as directed by Secretary LG&CD Department Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, hands-on trainings are being held by PITB to acquaint government officials with the system.
The first training was held for Faisalabad Division and was conducted by PITB SPM Mariam Zeb and Project Coordinator Arsalan Aziz Ahmed. Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad Ali Shehzad, Additional Secretary Development LG&CD Department Shahid Zaman Lak, XEN LG&CD Department Faisalabad Division Khalid Hussaini, team members of LG&CD Department and PEC registered contractors also participated in the training session.
