PITB organized the online inauguration of the National Driving Licenses Repository portal. IGP National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) Dr. S. Kaleem Imam, PITB DG IT-Operations (IT-OPS) Faisal Yousaf, DIG Traffic Punjab Sohail Akhtar Sukhera, IGP Sindh Mushtaq Ahmed Mahar, IGP Balochistan Muhammad Tahir Rai, IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Moazzam Jah Ansari, IGP Gilgit Baltistan Mohammad Saeed Wazir, IGP Azad Jammu & Kashmir Sohail Habib Tajik, PITB Director IT – Ops Syed Qasim Ifzal and team were present at the ceremony.
A joint effort of all driving licensing authorities across Pakistan and PITB, the portal aims at enabling all the stakeholders to improve road safety and smooth operations by enhancing work efficiency and ensuring transparency. This centralized system will be particularly helpful in the elimination of possession of dual licenses in addition to facilitating in real-time identification of fake, bogus and expired licenses.
