e-Library app, developed by PITB, would be adding a new feature to facilitate members with an online library service through which members can borrow and return books from libraries across Punjab. This app would be embedded with track and trace feature and PITB would partner with Pakistan Postal Service for this purpose.
Regarding this, The Institute of Information Management (IIM) of Punjab University organized a consultation meeting between PITB e-Library team and head librarians of different public, private and academic libraries from across Punjab.
PITB Director IT Muhammad Kashif Farooq briefed the participants about this concept and addressed their queries. Director IIM Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood and head librarians appreciated the idea and discussed various policy matters regarding this.
